October Roundtable Update

NordCham held its monthly roundtable meeting at Metso Outotec on October 12th to discuss a broad range of topics which ranged from international affairs to renewable energy.

The meeting was attended by representatives from various Nordic industries, sharing recent updates on what they have observed in the past month in Indonesia and abroad.

The meeting started with the CEPA agreement as well as the B20 & G20 that will be held in November. The meeting continued with the announcement of a sustainability committee launch with the vision to be a platform for Nordic businesses to approach the Indonesian government and ways to do business more sustainably. The future of the work environment was also raised in the meeting.

Several representatives also raised their concerns related to import licenses, local content, and challenges in doing business in Indonesia, the Russia-Ukraine war impacts on mineral & energy trade, digital inclusivity in Indonesia, and more.
